For anyone new to meditation and mindfulness it can be pretty confusing out there. The book and website for Frantic World are a great place to start. You do not have to sit still in a contorted yoga position for hours to benefit and there are many simple tips and guided meditations to help get you started. The excellent Resources page has several different guided meditations for you to try, podcasts, suggested books and CDs.
I particularly like the 3 minute breathing space a great mini meditation you can use to take a short break. I set the timer on my phone to go off twice a day and if I’m in front of the computer I do this or do nothing for 2 minutes which I mentioned in the previous post Mind Full or Mindful? Just taking a break to breathe and relax makes me much more focussed when I bring my mind back to work.
If you would to find out more about this sort of thing have a look at out our other blogs and our bookstore
